Zoë Bell: Kicking Another Year’s Ass

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009         Posted in Movies, Originals | 2 Comments »

Watch the Full Feature Length version of Angel Of Death on Crackle today.

“That’s my acting double.”
- Zoë Bell talking about Lucy Lawless in the 2004 stuntwomen documentary Double Dare.

Audiences have watched her for nearly fifteen years as she boldly bloodies big screen bad guys on behalf of Hollywood’s fairer sex. She’s a favorite of Quentin Tarantino, and the star of the Crackle Original Angel of Death which gets its full length online debut this month. To top it all off, today is her birthday. To celebrate, watch Zoë Bell in the feature length version of Angel of Death on Crackle, or as Comics Alliance previously announced catch it on AOL, Bebo, Friendster, or in the feature length or original episodic version on YouTube.

With all this Bell in the internet ether, perhaps it’s time for a Birthday Haiku?

Crackle’s Top 10 Originals Before the End: #2 Penn Says: “Apheresis”

Thursday, November 12th, 2009         Posted in Originals | No Comments »

It’s all about blood with heart, watch Penn Says: “Apheresis”.

Penn Says: “Apheresis” — it’s gruesome, it’s informative and it’ll turn you into a do-good-blood-donator in no time. Penn describes in graphic but not creepy detail the process of blood platelet donation, which he’s not doing for end-of-days brownie points (as he doesn’t believe in the judgmental big guy upstairs). He hosts the “Bloody Days of Christmas” every year, which ups the Nevada blood bank and gives Las Vegas residents free tix to his show as a thank you. Plus, Penn actually donates on camera. Super cool. Super inspiring.

Crackle’s Top 10 Originals Before the End: #3 Star-ving: “Ed O’Neill”

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009         Posted in Originals | No Comments »

Before Modern Family, there was Al Bundy. Relive it with Star-Ving: “Begging Ed”.

Learn the details of how David Faustino managed to star in a hit show for 11 years and exit with no promise for the cash cow that is residuals. Then see Ed O’Neill curse, patronize, and tell David where to go when the little guy asks for money with a snarky “go f&*k yourself in your f&*king ass. That’s a No.” O’Neil, co-star of the new hit show Modern Family, is raunchy, witty and totally rad. If you’ve got anyone to tell off before the big un-bang, he’ll show you the way to do it.

The Bannen Way Continues…

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009         Posted in Originals | 2 Comments »

I caught up with director/writer Jesse Warren and co-writer/star Mark Gantt in the edit bay for The Bannen Way only a week before picture lock. The duo has spent two and a half years working on the concept, and the last few weeks living in an edit bay, while they put the finishing touches on the cool, action packed, funny, one of a kind con-man thriller hitting the Crackle audience this coming January. “I would say get ready for a ride,” says Warren, “Be ready for that.”

Crackle’s Top 10 Originals Before the End: #4 The Line: “5 Minute Rule”

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009         Posted in Originals | No Comments »

Accepted line rules dictate you can’t leave the line for more than five minutes without losing your spot. This is a fact firmly laid out on in The Line: “5 Minute Rule” episode of this show starring Bill Hader. When the big one hits, you’re going to be in line for everything from stale bagels to batteries, so you’d best know the code. Learn it, live it, survive by it.

Crackle’s Top 10 Originals Before the End: #5 The Esquire Digital Man: “Chainsaw”

Monday, November 9th, 2009         Posted in Originals | 2 Comments »

The Esquire Digital Man: “Chainsaw”
is for those of us who succeed in surviving the last act, in which case we’’ll need two things: a new outlook on life, and the skills to rebuild from scratch. Watch Barry Sonnenfeld’s chainsaw review and acquire the basics of both.Sonnenfeld predicted the world would go haywire way back when he made M.I.B. and it may look different in the 2012 iteration (more buildings falling into the ocean, less cute pug and funky aliens), but the gist remains the same: what has the world come to? Sonnenfeld answers this and more of life’s perplexing questions through quiet contemplation in his mountain home… And by starting up his chainsaw. We suggest you do the same.
